Yorba Linda, California: At an announcement ceremony on Thursday, January 10, 2013, John Force speaking from his headquarters released news that Brittany, the second youngest of his four daughters, will be competing in a Castrol-sponsored Top Fuel dragster for the full 2013 NHRA Mello Yello Series.

The Castrol EDGE dragster will be tuned by Crew Chief Dean “Guido” Antonelli. The long-serving Team Force member most recently acted as Crew Chief for John Force and for Force’s daughter Ashley. Eric Lane will be second in command to Antonelli. He held a similar position with the Auto Club Ford Mustang Funny Car driven by Robert Hight, for whom Jimmy Prock served as crew chief.

The other major announcement made by Force concerned Mike Neff, who for the past two years was driver and crew chief of the Team Force Castrol GTX Ford Mustang Funny Car.

Neff made the decision, with Team Force’s full support, to relinquish the race car cockpit for the role he prefers: that of Crew Chief. He will reunite with John Force, in an attempt to capture the 16th World Championship for the Team Force owner.

Castrol, the British lubricant maker, with whom Force has maintained a 29-year-old relationship, will be the major sponsor displayed on Brittany’s Top Fueler.
